Since time immemorial, the light green tips of fir trees have been collected in spring and usually preserved as syrup. On the one hand because of their distinctive taste, and on the other hand to relieve coughs, clear the throat and freshen breath.
Goes well with: lamb, kid, roast game, boiled beef, cheese platter
